Yes. Our maintenance plan is called the Care Club, and it covers heating, cooling, and plumbing under a single membership rather than making you buy separate agreements for each system.

What the Care Club Includes

The core of the plan is scheduled preventative service. Twice a year we service your comfort systems, and your plumbing gets an annual review. The details live on the Care Club maintenance plan page, but the shape of it is straightforward:

  • Spring visit. Full AC maintenance before the first hundred-degree stretch, when a failure is both most likely and least convenient.
  • Fall visit. Furnace maintenance, including combustion and safety checks on gas equipment.
  • Plumbing review. An annual look at supply lines, shutoffs, fixtures, and water heater maintenance, which is the single most-skipped service in most homes.
  • Member benefits. Priority scheduling, discounted repairs, and no overtime charges — the terms are listed on the plan page.

Why Preventative Maintenance Actually Matters Here

This is not a generic pitch. Hill Country conditions are genuinely hard on equipment in two specific ways.

First, cooling season. An air conditioner in Fredericksburg runs an enormous number of hours between April and October — far more than the same unit would in a milder climate. Every one of those hours is wear. A system that gets a proper service each spring holds its efficiency and reaches its design life; one that does not tends to fail somewhere around year ten instead of year fifteen.

Second, water hardness. Hill Country water carries a heavy mineral load, and scale accumulates inside water heaters, fixtures, and tankless heat exchangers. Flushing a water heater annually is a twenty-minute job that routinely adds years to the tank.

Catching Small Problems Before They Are Expensive

Almost no major system failure is actually sudden. It is a small problem that nobody looked at.

A capacitor that is drifting out of spec is a cheap part. Left alone, it burns out a compressor, and now you are pricing AC replacements in July. A slow refrigerant leak costs efficiency for a season before it costs you a coil. A furnace with a dirty burner runs inefficiently long before it becomes a combustion safety issue.

Maintenance visits exist to find those things while they are still cheap. That is the entire economic argument for the plan, and it is the reason members generally spend less over a system’s lifetime than non-members do, even counting the membership itself.

Efficiency and Operating Cost

Dirty equipment costs money every single month. A clogged filter or a fouled outdoor coil forces the system to run longer to reach the same temperature, and you pay for those extra runtime hours on your electric bill.

Replacing air filters on schedule and keeping coils clean is unglamorous work with a measurable return. If your ductwork is also moving dust back into the equipment, we will tell you, because cleaning the machine while ignoring what feeds it is a temporary fix.

Priority When It Counts

The practical benefit members mention most has nothing to do with tune-ups. It is what happens on the worst day.

When a heat wave hits and every HVAC company in the county has a two-day backlog, members go to the front of the queue. Same in a hard freeze, when heating calls stack up faster than anyone can run them. You are not negotiating for a slot on the day you need one — you already have standing.

One Plan Instead of Three

The reason we built it across trades is simple: your home does not care which category a problem falls into. Splitting maintenance across an HVAC contract, a plumbing contract, and nothing at all for your plumbing system means three schedules to track and gaps between them.

One membership, one schedule, one company holding your service history. We serve Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Boerne, Comfort, Mason, and the surrounding Hill Country. To enroll or ask what your home needs, contact 72 Degrees or call (830) 468-5316.
