Galvanised Pipe Fails From the Inside Out
Plenty of older Hill Country homes were plumbed in galvanised steel. It corrodes internally, so the pipe looks fine from outside while the bore narrows with rust — which is why pressure drops gradually over years and then a joint lets go without warning.
