Yes. We offer financing on ductless mini split installations, and it is one of the more common ways homeowners in the Hill Country pay for this particular upgrade. Full details and the application are on our financing page.
Why Financing Comes Up So Often With Mini Splits
Mini splits occupy an awkward middle ground. They cost more than a repair and less than a full system replacement, and they usually get installed for a reason that will not wait — a room that has never been comfortable, a garage conversion, a new primary suite, a shop that is unusable four months of the year.
Because the need is immediate and the amount is not trivial, spreading it over monthly payments is often the difference between solving the problem this month and living with it for another two summers. A ductless mini split that eliminates a hot room starts paying you back in comfort the day it is commissioned, not after you have saved up for it.
What Affects the Total You Are Financing
Mini split pricing varies more than most equipment, so the amount you finance depends heavily on scope:
- Number of zones. A single-zone system serving one room is the entry point. Multi-zone systems running three or four indoor heads off one outdoor unit cost considerably more but serve much more of the house.
- Efficiency rating. Higher SEER2 equipment costs more upfront and less to run. Over a Hill Country cooling season, that operating difference is real money, which changes the math on financing a better unit.
- Line set routing. A straightforward exterior wall install is simple. Running line sets through finished walls, across an attic, or around a stone facade adds labor.
- Electrical work. Some installs need a new circuit or a panel with available capacity.
We price the actual job rather than quoting from a chart, and we tell you where the cost is coming from so you can decide what is worth financing and what is not.
Financing vs. Deferring the Work
The comparison people usually skip is what waiting costs.
If the reason you are considering a mini split is a room your central system cannot reach, you are currently paying to overcool the entire house to make that one room tolerable. That shows up on every summer electric bill. If you are running window units or space heaters instead, the operating cost is dramatically worse than an inverter-driven mini split, which modulates rather than cycling on and off at full power.
In a lot of households, the monthly payment lands close to what the inefficiency was already costing. That is not true for everyone, but it is worth running the numbers before assuming the purchase has to wait.
What Else Financing Covers
The same programs apply across our other installation work, so if the mini split is part of a larger project you can bundle it. Homeowners frequently pair one with air conditioner installation for the main house, or choose a heat pump configuration so the mini split handles both cooling and shoulder-season heating in the same unit.
Common mini split applications we finance include garage and shop conditioning, wine rooms, additions and bonus rooms that were never on the original duct design, and mobile and manufactured homes where ductwork is limited or in poor condition.
Applying
The application is short and the decision is usually quick. We can walk you through it during the estimate, so you know what you qualify for before you commit to a system size or an install date. There is no obligation attached to finding out.
What we will not do is push you toward a bigger system because financing makes the payment look small. The right mini split is the one sized for the space. Oversizing a ductless unit makes it short-cycle, which leaves the room humid and clammy even while hitting the thermostat setpoint — a worse outcome than the problem you started with.
Getting a Number
